On Saturday, May 8, public transport will run according to the working day schedule
In accordance with the Cabinet order, the working day from Monday, May 3, 2021, is moved to Saturday, May 8, 2021, consequently there will be changes in the work of public transport, and customer service centres. On Sunday, On Mother’s Day “Rīgas satiksmes” paid parking lots will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a near the Riga Congress Centre, there you will have to pay for car parking according to the valid tariffs.
Public transport
On May 8, buses, trolleybuses, trams and express buses will run according to the working day schedule. Only those one-month and time tickets that are intended for the working days will be valid for travelling in public transport.
Customer service centres
On Saturday, May 8, the working time of the customer service centre in Brīvības Street 49/53 will be from 8.00 until 17.00, the other five customer service centres: in Spīķeru Street 1, Prāgas Street 1, Kurzemes prospekts 137, Brīvības gatve 384b and Brīvības Street 191 will work as usual on working days – until 19.00.
On May 9, the working time of the customer service centre in Spīķeru Street 1 will be from 10.00 until 16.00, the other five customer service centres will be closed.
Parking lots
On May 8, the paid parking lots in the territory of Old Riga (R zone) will work from 6.00 until 24.00, in Vecāķi (V zone) – from 8.00 until 20.00 according to the valid tariffs. The other paid parking lots on May 8 will work from 9.00 until 17.00. The underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a near the Riga Congress Centre will work according to the valid tariffs.
On Mother’s Day, May 9, Riga municipal paid parking lots maintained by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a near the Riga Congress Centre – there you will have to pay for car parking according to the valid tariffs.
